President Trump is set to sell the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., a four-star hotel that he used to own, according to the New York Times, and The Associated Press reports that negotiations on the sale are close to a close.
Mr. Trump first opened the hotel, which is housed in an Art Deco building on Pennsylvania Avenue, in December 2016. The president made a reported $400 million during his campaign.
Trump is selling the property with “a massive profit,” the AP reports, and will net about $375 million.
Other than potential mayoral mayor Muriel Bowser, the president is not seeking to sell other properties, either in Washington or in New York City, according to the AP.
Negotiations on the sales are finalizing, and are expected to close within days, the Times reports.
The federal government is also selling the assets of Trump hotels he owned before being elected president, the Washington Post reported.
