Artist paints cars on street without even realising it

Over the past few months, curious onlookers have been stopping to see what has been painted on a Toronto street. The answer to that question? Lots of spaces for parking.

According to Reddit, the anonymous portraitist goes by the name, FelipeKozara and usually gives his blue and yellow chalk artworks to unsuspecting motorists on the street after reading in the local newspaper “some car got ticketed for using the street parking space.” However, FelipeKnox’s friend, MikeBobbyKozara, captured the accidental photobomb on video and uploaded it to Reddit along with the description, “My friends car got hit by a car, but it wasn’t a parking ticket. The same parking fine on the exact spot. What the hell do they know about the spots?” The original poster went on to say that the credits on the camera cap got stuck on the “fist of the guy waiting for the event to start, which was a little weird.”

Since then, FelipeKnox has been busy drawing these elaborate works of art throughout Toronto, including three shown here, and a choice gift to Crave 2 food truck, which has been featured in a group photo on social media. In a previous Reddit post, FelipeKnox explained his work to a journalist, writing, “Every time I see a parking ticket, I paint a car to make the parking ticket see what’s really going on.” Although the explanation doesn’t justify his actions, it sure beats the catchy name for a parking spot.
