I Just Had My First Home Inspection, And We Found A Wonderful Problem

So I saw a house on Facebook that made my blood run cold.

This massive house was populated by ghoulish figures, dripping with slime, scared in fear, filled with foul smells, and dressed to fright night.

Have you ever laughed at a creepy house picture on Facebook?

I mean really, really, really thought this house was the scariest thing ever. I even messaged the Facebook page of the owner to inquire if there was a haunted house. Her response?

“Oh, no. It’s a novelty house, everyone has liked it.”

Shockingly, she posted a picture of a screaming girl from the Halloween event where this house was rented out. Well, not a scream — more like guffaws.

It wasn’t until I visited the house in person that I realized just how creepy this particular haunted house really was. Seriously, I look into a box with a flip of a switch and 3 large flashlights. A huge hooded demon wearing a leather jacket, complete with hood and shoes, sits right on the top step. He looks way too small for his head. If you don’t already feel really bad for the kids walking through the same creepy hallway and seeing these twinkling lights that look like lights on a random monster, you should. The mother standing on the lawn in front of the door, seemingly smiling from ear to ear.

The house was rented out by The Play Your Way Haunted House in Austin, Texas. The monster, turns out, is good with kids. Children trick or treating through his creepy neighborhood in the night.

While they may be young, kids this Halloween were terrorized by horrifying haunted house decorations that look way too real.

A total of 84,000 people agreed with me when I posted, “these guys are sick. I can’t believe this is real.”

There is something so unnatural about this house. It’s grotesque, grotesque, grotesque.

Gruesome the way that paintings that have been painted are grotesque. And gross the way that dirty bodies are grotesque.

Grossing me out, that’s right.

There is just no denying that this house is ghoulish. Ghoulish in a good way, but make no mistake — this house is gross. And that is one of the scariest things about this house.

I get that that it looks like a normal house in its side by side photo. But then when you open the door, something strange is happening.

All of these ghouls and goblins are hiding in plain sight…under the furniture.

Listen, I know that Halloween is a time to be scary. But be a little more creative and less creepy.
